Simply Sketched – Saturday Challenge

Thank you for joining us on the first Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re a small group of Stampin Up Demonstrators who fancied a new challenge to share with you all.

Hi There,

How are you all finding the challenge so far? There have been some great idea’s and some great projects don’t you think?

When i looked at the sketch for this week my immediate thought was to do Christmas but then i thought how hard it is for anyone to buy a nice card for, say, a thank you or a birthday as all the shelves are stocked with christmas cards. So i have chosen to do a very simple Thank You card.

My card uses the Stampin Up Stamp set “Work of Art”. I am a firm believer in using just one stamp set only and there are some great words and images on this one that you could make lots of cards just using this stamp set.

The colour combonation i have used is Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo and don’t you think the white just makes the colours POP! Oh and the other thing i love with Stampin Up is that they are great at colour matching, not only will the inks and card stock all match but the embellishments will too! Saves me the headache of going to try and find matching things…….easy crafting that’s what i like.

The punches i have used is the 1 1/2 circle punch witch i have stuck to the 1 3/4 scallop punch using fast fuse and then i stuck both of these parts to the card using a dimensional just to give the card some dimension. The flower punch is from the itty bitty punch set and has a rhinestone in it to set it off.

This is a simple card to make but clean and effective . Which one of your friends or relatives would not like to receive such a card !

Thanks for looking, it was great to have your company and now you simply use the next blog button to keep post hopping, have fun everyone x
