Thank you for joining us on the Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge.
We are a small group of Stampin Up Demonstrators who fancied a new challenge to share with you all.
The Design for this week came from the lovely Debbie….
What a great sketch. Thanks Debbie! When we got this sketch I immediately knew i wanted to play with my Six-Sided Sampler stamps. I know this is not a new one but it is too me. Sometimes when the christmas and the spring /summer catalogues come out the annual catalogue that runs all year gets forgotten about with all the excitement of new things! I love the six sided sampler as not only does it come with a punch, but all those patterns on the hexagons are just marvellous and you don’t need to just cut them out with the hexagon punch either………..you could use your 1/2 , 3/4, 1″ circle punches and also your 1″ square…..so the options for all those images are fab.
Anyway onto my card. I seem to have a trend of liking white backgrounds and keeping the design on a card simple and clean…..maybe next time I will jump right out of my box and do something totally different! Please come back to find out!!
I stamped all the hexagons first and then punched them all out and adhered them to a base card. Once I had my layout I stuck them all down then trimmed all four sides to give me a neat rectangle. I love the Suite Sayings stamp set which the greeting comes from, It has everything that I would need.
I finished it off with a punched butterfly and bob’s your uncle. This is my take on the challenge and I do hope you like it.
I hope you are enjoying the hop so far……there are some great projects to be seen. Just keep on Hopping if you hop to the next you will be off to see Anna……..
Thanks for your company Mandy 🙂 xx
