Made with Love Photo Book

Hi There Folks,

How are you today? Me I am hanging on by the seat of my pants, I have so much to do and not enough time to do it in, and to add to it all I have done something bad to my shoulder /neck but not sure what! All I can say is it is agony at times, doctor prescribed some scary drugs so needless to say I shan’t be taking them!! Anyways I am behind the curve as I am off on my hollibobs tomorrow and have nothing prepared not only with my blog but also with all the packing and stuff…….hey ho never mind I will get it done, I am sure of that!

Anyway’s enough of my ramblings and on to today’s little cute project……even if I do say so!  This is a photobook. Well that is what I am calling it. Any other idea’s of what these are called will be greatly appreciated.

I have even done a little video of how to make it so I do hope you enjoy it. I purposely do not mention measurements in my video’s now as I end up blabbering the wrong thing and I don’t want you to waste your gorgeous papers that you have at home. So here are the measurements for the entire project.

All measurements in Inches (apart from where stated on the appeture for the  window sheet)

Chipboard 6 1/2 ” x 4 1/2″ (you will need 2 of these)

Chipboard 3/4 ” x 6 1/2

Designer Series Paper ( for the book cover and inside covers)

8 1/2 ” x 12″

6 1/4″  x 4″ (you will need 2 of these)

6 1/4 “x  2″

Designer Series paper for photo holder

4 7/8″ x 6 7/8″

This piece will be scored at 3/8″ on all 4 sides.

Lining one edge on the 1″ mark use your cutting blade on your trimmer to cut out a window as shown in the video.

with long edge of paper butted up to top edge of the trimmer

go to the 2.5cm mark and cut  to 9.7cm  then rotate

again go to 2.5cm mark and cut to 14.9cm then rotate

again go to 2.5 cm mark and cut to 9.7cm then rotate

lastly go to 2.5cm mark and cut to 14.9 your aperture should now be cut

On the back of the DSP mark a 1 ” line from all 4 sides to create a rectangle and cut it out with your craft knife. Make sure you mark on the wrong side though as you don’t want any pen marks visible.

So that is  my project today. I thought this would be super lovely as a gift for someone who has just had a baby or you could put a child’s school photo in or any photo really . Really simple to make but quite effective. I hope you manage to give this one a go.

Well peeps that is all I have for you today. Thank you for stopping by and I will catch up with you a week on Monday with another Idea I have to add to the loveliness of this book. But you could always make two of the window apertures and put one on either side of the inside cover , double trouble or double the pleasure.

Take care everyone and Happy crafting whatever you may be making. Mandy x
